Traffic School
Well, I made a mistake and now I must pay. I made an illegal U-turn in Craig's Maserati. Officer Skinner (really... that's his name) caught me and ticketed me.And now, over a month later, I'm watching a video entitled Safety Belts: For Dummies or People?
Some of the things I'm reading are interesting, of course. For instance, I just read that "The 1922 Wills-St. Clair was the first vehicle to include a back-up light."
Shortly after learning about the history (and legal requirements) of turn signals, I discovered a picture of the DOT-approved hand signals. Apparently Californians really like to make right turns... especially while on the freeway. Funny.

Furthermore, I enjoyed learning the purpose of the Horn, according to the Traffic School website: "A horn is essentially a tool you use to alert or warn other drivers (or pedestrians and animals) of the presence of some danger—usually of your presence and the fact that their lack of awareness of your presence may result in danger to both of you. A quick light tap is generally all it takes." Hmmm...
On another note, I found this little caricature to be rather entertaining.
It reminds me of a saying in Germany: "Mercedes haben vorfahrt" which means, "Mercedes have the right of way." Of course, the Polizei driving the BMW's wouldn't be likely to agree with you, but it's still a fun thought. After all, I'm pretty sure it's actually the Porsche's which take the Right of Way.
That's all for now... more to come!!
